Optimal Port Designer

Design optimized bass reflex ports for 3D printing. Iterative solver based on Strouhal number research. STL export, split port threading, mounting holes. Based on the work of STV and Augerpro on diyAudio.

Bendable Optimal Port Designer (Beta)

This is the Optimal Port Designer with the option of adding user-definable bends to help with packaging and optimal port placement. Now with the option of 2 splits — either threaded (mounting inside cabinet later may be problematic) or flanges for easy gluing. The flange variety has the added bonus that the splits allow you to experiment with the placement of the inside inlet of the port. Try a few locations, fix with Gaffa and measure. Done!

Flattened Optimal Port Designer (Beta)

Takes the same Optimal Port, inspired by the work of STV and Augerpro on diyAudio, and squishes it flat to help with packaging in tight spaces. Plenty of reasons to want a slim port — from simply making that silly big lump fit, to placing the inlet in a more acoustically advantageous spot in the box. But how well do the algorithms handle being squashed like a bug? Try it, measure, and report back.
